The challenge: a “greener” alternative to traditional hoarding systems
Typically, with traditional hoarding structures, the graphics are printed on aluminum panels before being attached directly to plywood hoarding. This process results in multiple visits to the site and double the amount of material that ends up in the landfill. For most construction sites, safety signs are also installed separately, resulting in additional material and waste. To align with Windmill’s sustainability vision, a “greener” alternative to traditional hoarding needed to be implemented. Efficiency was increased as the panels were stored for later use at other stores in the mall.
